Regarding the “Heartbleed” Vulnerability
 
The Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank takes Internet vulnerabilities seriously and works diligently to ensure that your information is protected.  We have examined our systems and found no risk of exposure to the recently identified “Heartbleed” vulnerability.  The Bank will continue to constantly monitor our systems for evidence or any other vulnerability.  
 
With regard to your personally-owned computers you are encouraged, as always, to monitor your accounts regularly for any suspicious activity and to contact us should you detect any suspicious transactions regarding your bank account.
 
Remember that for consumer transactions against checking or savings accounts, consumers are protected by Regulation E from unauthorized activity and will have no liability if unauthorized transactions debit their accounts should you notify us within 60 days of the unauthorized transaction.  For business accounts, Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank employs additional commercially-reasonable security procedures to protect against unauthorized transactions.
